Elizabeth Woolridge Grant (born June 21, 1985 in New York City), better known by her stage name Lana Del Rey, is an American singer and songwriter. Del Rey first started singing in clubs in New York at the age of 15. She signed her first deal with 5 Points Records at the age of 22 and in June 2010 Lana Del Rey A.K.A. She released her album Lizzy Grant. She signed with Interscope, Polydor and Stranger Records and released her first single, Video Games, on YouTube with a music video directed by her sister. He released his second studio album, Born To Die, in January 2012, after the song and video were kept online. The album sold 2 million copies worldwide and narrowly missed its chance to become one of the best-selling albums of 2012. Born to Die: The Paradise Edition, a combination of his third EP (Paradise) with Born to Die, sold more than 67,000 copies in the first week and debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Looking at his discography so far, he has 3 released studio albums, 4 EPs, 7 singles and 13 music videos.
